Last Saturday  I was lucky enough to attend one of DCE's charity events.
This one benefitted Juvenile Diabetes Research JDRF and took place at the Sheraton Colonial Hotel in suburban Boston.
The event kicked off at 10:00 am and was emceed  by Tony Moore & Sean Kemp .

Seated in the front of the room in their monogrammed chairs
were Shawn C, Lauren K,  Bryan D,  Galen G,
Eric M,  Ari Z & Patrick M.   There was a question & answer session
which made many of us laugh and then it was on to the auction.

Shawn auctioned off his gently used coffee mug and the t-shirt off his back,
both items drew lots of interest & made several thousand dollars.

The next event was a luncheon with the stars & 15  guests.
I was lucky  enough to attend & be seated at a table
with Lauren Koslow & Shawn .  As we ate lunch
Shawn enthusiastically talked about Days & about his recent trip
back home to Michigan.

As soon as lunch was over the busy stars were off to the autograph  signing.
There the fans got a chance to say hello, get items autographed and have their picture taken with the stars.  As always Shawn was very accommodating
to all of his fans even though the line seemed never ending.
As the autograph  session went on DCE also had a silent auction and raffled off
some prizes.  One of my friends won Shawn's chair in the auction and he happily
signed it and posed for pictures with her & the chair.

The day wrapped up  with a  cocktail party  in the evening.  Dressed in their cocktail
wear fans gathered in the ballroom set up with a bar, appetizers and some music.
Shawn & the other actors chatted & took pictures with their fans.
Of course Shawn had many ladies surrounding him constantly but he tried his best to
make time for everyone. He was happy to pose for pictures & gave lots of hugs to
his fans.  The time flew by and soon it was time for the actors to leave the party.
